***NEW RECIPE SWAP***

*Please Note That Swaps Are Open To Club Members Only*

First a definition:

A recipe swap (at least one that I'm hosting) will be a 6" x 6" piece of scrapbook paper with a recipe card attached with a recipe that matches the theme/ingredient for that month. You can decorate the "sheet" with stamps, die cuts, ribbon, embellishments, anything that enhances your recipe.(that's the fun part). The 6 x 6 size is convenient since there are 6 x 6 albums available and they are small enough to keep in your kitchen, and you get 4 sheets from every 12 x 12 Scrapbook paper so its cost effective. You can use a 3 x 5 index card for the recipe and you still have plenty of room for decorating. (or you can type your recipe and print it out, which I have done in the past)

Like other swaps, you will make a certain number of the same sheet. For example let's say a total of 10 sign up (including yourself). You will make 10 of the same and you will get 9 different recipes back, plus one of your own.

I think we can get this going pretty quickly. Here is the list of "themes/ingredients" for 2010:

Feb: Chocolate
Mar: Dips
Apr: Cake
May: Chicken or pasta
Jun: Pie
Jul: Fruit
Aug: Seafood
Sep: Beef or pork
Oct: Appetizers
Nov: Dessert
Dec: Cookies

I kept it very vague so you would have lots of choices. If you are interested in this swap, please send me.

Please sign up by December 31st. That way we will have a little more than a month to make our first cards. I will get a number of signups to you as soon as possible. Can't wait to get started!!!

If anyone else wants to participate, we would love to have you join us. Just e-mail me (Helen)

Just to be on the safe side, please make at least 12 ATCs each month. I will return your extras if we do not have 12 people who sign up. Better to have too many than too few.

If you did not receive a list of the themes for next year, they are listed below:

January -- Musical Theme (sheet music, instruments, quotes from a song, etc.)
February -- Hearts/Love using the colors pink and orange
March -- Use embellishments from the hardware store (examples: parts of a screen, washers, etc.)
April -- Farm/Country
May -- Wings and glitter (anything that has wings—examples: angels, fairies, insects, birds)
June -- Cooking/food
July -- History (pick any person or event from the past)
August -- Primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and basic shapes (circles, squares, triangles, etc.)
September -- School--with embellishments
October -- Circus (clowns, tents, animals, etc.)

2010 Fat Book Page Swap

*Please Note That Swaps Are Open To Club Members Only*

The format is simple: Artwork is done on a 6 X 6 piece of card stock with a half inch left on the left side for binding. This swap would not be a year commitment. You will get to choose which months you want to do and which themes. The number of pages will be determined by how many people sign up for each month.

January -- I will bring samples, detailed instructions and a sign up book to our next meeting.
February -- Recipe
March -- Technique
April -- Use Spellbinder Dies
May -- Flowers
June -- Black and White with your choice of one other color
July -- Water/Seashore/Shells/Fish
August -- House Mouse
September -- Punch Art
October -- Animals
November -- Asian
December -- Snow Buddies (snowmen, penguins, polar bears)
